EVC
BRAND IDENTITY

CONTEXT

EVC Technologies services small to medium sized commercial electrical projects in Sydney, NSW. Partners Tony and Shaun had been in business together for several years, but initially didn’t have much in the way of a formalised brand. Shaun commissioned me to redesign their logo with a fairly clear vision, he wanted something bold, simple and effective. After our initial meetings and an exploratory conceptual process we landed on a direction for the brand mark that Shaun felt encapsulated his vision. Once that cornerstone was in place we scaled the brand up, redesigning their business cards, before creating a corporate profile and website.

EVC
SITE DESIGN + BUILD

CONTEXT

EVC Technologies initially came to me with a request to have their logo and business card redesigned from the ground up. Once we had completed that initial project, we began to look at scaling their new brand, and redesigning their website in the same fashion.

I sat down with them and established what they wanted to achieve with the site and who their client demographic were. We quickly established that because they were so busy servicing existing clients and scaling the business to take on new ones, getting content together was likely going to be our greatest challenge.

We resolved to initially build a 'phase one' site, which would consist of a landing page, about us and contact pages. Further down the road once this had been launched, we would come back and review and optimise what had been built, then add in work examples and a section on their clientele. I then sourced the platform, hosting and domain for the site and provided the options for review. Once they were happy with the setup I began design of initial concept layouts in Sketch. They chose an approach after one round, and we moved into the build phase from there.

From initial meeting, to logistics of setting up the architecture, through to build and launch of the site itself, setup of new email services under a new shorter URL and redirection of both site and email traffic from the old domain, I executed the entire project in under 30 hours. Pictured here are assets from the phase one site. Watch this space for the updates in phase two.
